Recently, Zhonghai Marine Blue Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhonghai Blue Construction") and Zhongming Biotechnology (Shenzhen) Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongming Biotechnology") held a project signing ceremony in Changji City, Xinjiang. The two parties will fully utilize Changji's resource advantages, work together to build a Microalgae industry cluster, and assist in the high-end, intelligent, and green development of local agriculture.



It is reported that Zhonghai Lanjian has actively laid out and carried out the research and application of BIPV (photovoltaic building integration) new low-carbon materials, the research and production of ultra-low temperature energy storage batteries, the exploration and practice of Microalgae aquaculture biotechnology, the construction and operation of intelligent computing centers, the promotion of planting and breeding cycles, and urban renewal in Xinjiang.

Zhongming Biotechnology is a biotechnology company dedicated to the modern cultivation of microalgae and the commercial application and market development of microalgae specialty nutrient intermediates.

Changji City is the capital of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture. Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture has outstanding resource endowment, solid industrial foundation, and abundant coal resources; Meanwhile, Changji is ranked among the top ten major wind areas and top five major light areas in Xinjiang, with enormous potential for the "wind and solar economy".

Relying on local resource endowments, Zhonghai Lanjian will build a headquarters base, a 1000P intelligent computing center, a Microalgae industry cluster, a BIPV (photovoltaic building integration) new low-carbon material production line, new energy photovoltaics, and ultra-low temperature energy storage batteries in Changji City. Among them, the microalgae industry cluster is expected to invest 4.5 billion yuan. Microalgae usually refer to microorganisms that contain chlorophyll a and can carry out photosynthesis. They are rich in protein, unsaturated fatty acids, trace elements, polysaccharides, peptides, Astaxanthin and other nutrients and bioactive substances. They have a very wide range of application prospects in food, health products, medicine, cosmetics and other fields. Especially in recent years, microalgae have attracted much attention from the food and health industries in the context of the "Big Food Concept" and "Healthy China".

Liu Zhiyang, General Manager of Zhongming Biotechnology, stated that the intelligent digital microalgae cultivation system of Zhongming Biotechnology can efficiently utilize the abundant sunshine in Changji and can use 100% of local green electricity resources to achieve large-scale, low-cost cultivation of various microalgae such as Haematococcus pluvialis, Chlorella vulgaris, Spirulina, and mass production of downstream application products of microalgae. According to the plan, by 2027, Zhongming Biotechnology will establish a modern microalgae green industry ecological park covering an area of 5000 acres in Changji, with an annual microalgae production capacity of 500000 tons. At the same time, it will also develop downstream food and health products such as algal protein, microalgae edible oil, and algal nutrients.

In addition, microalgae have a short growth cycle and strong environmental adaptability. They can fix carbon through efficient photosynthesis and absorb nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other substances in wastewater, achieving low-cost harmless treatment of wastewater and contributing to ecological restoration.

According to Li Yuanli, Chairman of Zhongming Biotechnology, the intelligent digital microalgae breeding system of Zhongming Biotechnology can not only produce microalgae and related food, feed, microalgae edible oil, biomass fertilizers, and health products on a large scale, but also use solar energy and green electricity as energy sources to achieve biological carbon fixation, Water purification, Soil improvement, and other functions. We will take intelligent digital aquaculture of microalgae as the starting point, actively participate in the development of local new quality productivity, and explore the microalgae carbon sequestration cycle EOD model (ecological environment oriented development model) according to local conditions, in order to achieve a 'triple win' of economic benefits, social benefits, and ecological benefits, "said Li Yuanli.
